This project was for upgrades to airfield lighting requirements for an active apron for Air National Guard aircraft. The project was negotiated under an 8(a), sole-source contract with the Air National Guard.
The work included the replacement of pole-mounted lights and conductors for existing light poles around the aircraft parking apron. Work included submittals of new light fixtures and construction materials and scheduling with the Air National Guard to minimize impacts to the operation of the airfield.
Pole mounted lights were replaced along with the conductors and underground conduits that serviced these lights. We also provided directional boring for new conduits under the airfield paving to eliminate removal of asphalt and shut down of the operations. Once installed, all lights were adjusted to provide optimal lighting to the airfield.
Building mounted lights on the adjacent hangars were also replaced. This included new conduit and conductor inside the hangar along with lighting adjustment for optimal lighting.
Replace airfield pole mounted luminaries, replace wiring conductors, conduit, and pullbox systems, also includes replacing building mounting lighting.
