For this project, Martinez Construction Services (MCS) prepared two sites on San Nicolas Island for placement of Mobile Telemetry (TM) antenna system trailers.
MCS installed electrical and fiber optics service to each site to support the two mobile TM antenna systems. MCS also installed and integrated the required foundation surface at each site. To do this, MCS constructed four precast concrete pads for each site and excavated the top soils and prepared the ground surface for the new pads. This included 12’’ of new base rock and 3’’ of sand under the new pads. MCS also coordinated with the government and BAE systems on Navy barging and the use of a crane.
